  1. The weight of a newborn Bearded Dragons is about 2 grams. This is approximately the same as 5 small paperclips and they measure around 4 inch long.
  1. Just like most humans, Bearded Dragons are diurnal. This means they are active during the day and sleep during the night.
  1. Bearded Dragons have the ability to sleep while standing or clinging on to a vertical object. This is because they can hold their legs in a locked position.
  1.  For such calm and chilled animals, they can run fast when they need to escape a predator or chasing for their pray. They can even reach 15 Km/h (9 miles). To run even faster they sometimes run on two back legs.
  1. Once the growth of a Bearded Dragon slows down they will also require much less food.
  1. Similar to other reptiles, Bearded Dragons change shade of the colour. The difference is, it is not only for camouflage, but also for thermoregulation and sometimes to express their mood.
  1. It can happen that a Bearded Dragon will loose his tooth when tearing into his pray. Don’t worry they grow back.
  1. Bearded Dragons don’t have any specific breading period. They are able to bread whenever they wish.
  1. As you may know it already. Bearded Dragons gets their name after the beard like skin around their throat. When they are in danger or competing with other male they enlarge the skin and change its colour to black.
  1. Bearded Dragons cannot drop their tails, unlike their lizard cousins. If they loose the tail, they will not be able to grow it back and just like Ragna live a happy life without full tail length.
